Philadelphia Water Department Approves and Awards grants to reduce stormwater runoff
The City of Philadelphia through the Philadelphia Water Department (PWD), is investing $2.4 billion over 25 years to transform the health of the city’s creeks and rivers which serve as drinking water sources.
In an effort to reduce the amount of stormwater entering the combined sewer system PWD is encouraging property owners to manage stormwater on-site through the installation of Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI). PWD is providing funding through its Stormwater Management Incentive Program/Greened Acre Retrofit Program (SMIP/GARP) to cover up to 100% of the cost to design and construct GSI on non-residential properties.
We would like to meet with you to discuss a winning Grant opportunity to improve your stormwater infrastructure, reduce your maintenance costs and ultimately reduce your monthly stormwater bills.
